The 21-year-old was on loan at National League North side Gateshead last season and played a massive part in their play-off finals campaign last year, having an influential role in their win against Boston United.
James has also played lots of games in the Premier League 2 at u23 level for Middlesbrough.
Brad said upon his arrival at the club: “It’s been a roller coaster couple of days, but I’m here now.
“I’ll give a bit of competition to that goalkeeper spot and hopefully make it my own.”
